Emmalynn González 

is a Puertorican artist who mainly works digital art. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Art Education and a Master’s Degree in Counseling from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. Emmalynn began working professionally in the graphic design field and opened a small business named EG Atelier after her second year of college in 2016.

 

A recurring theme in Emmalynn’s work is mental health awareness and empowerment. She is inspired by vintage music festival and film posters from the 70s, 80s and 90s. She describes her work as a “joyful nostalgia”. The integration of retro elements such as vibrant color palettes, funky prints and vintage aesthetics with positive psychology messages in her work act a way to openly break stigmas on mental health topics such as self esteem, anxiety and depression.

 

Emmalynn has been on WAPA TV and Telemundo promoting her art and business and has had her work published on Latein Amerika Nachrichten magazine, Presencia Femenina, Todas PR, CPI PR and El Coqui of Rincón magazine. She has worked with brands including L’Oréal Paris, Coca Cola, Televisa Univision, Suave Professionals, Dermablend, Boston Scientific and others.
